One Art- Elizabeth Bishop

 The art of losing isn't hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

I lost my mother's watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.

---Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
 I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident
the art of losing's not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster

Happy holiday time between Christmas and New Year's all!!

I felt like sharing two of my cutest christmas presents with y'all. Item 1: Tea duckie tea infuser. Isn't it the cutest?? you can't see it in the photo, but the top part screws onto a tea basket that holds enough looseleaf tea for one serving of tea. Yay! Item 2: the literal "tea"spoon, see the teapot on the end of the handle? All set for the coziest of afternoons now :D

3 days! ZOMG

Hello Y'all
Threee days can you believe it?!
Last night I went to see Jack and the beanstalk the panto at The Hackney Empire

It included all the typical panto gags, songs and cream pie scenes.
The thing with Pantos is that you really get to embrace the rubbish jokes and just have fun. And that's what I did. I feel ever so slightly more festive now
